1. Papers
Fabriano Accademia Sketching Paper Pad (120gsm, 50 sheets – Schizzi)
Great for rough sketches, warmups, and practice.
Fabriano Accademia Drawing Paper Pad (200gsm, 30 sheets – Disegno)
Ideal for finished artworks with excellent texture and durability.
2. Butter Paper
Used for protecting finished sketches from smudging. I place it between pages or over drawings while storing. I also use butter paper while sketching and shading to protect the rendered areas from getting smudged by my hand.
3. Pencils
Staedtler Mars Lumograph Artist Pencil Set (Pack of 24)
A full range of soft to hard graphite for all shading and detail needs.
Staedtler Mars Lumograph Black Artist Pencils (Box of 12)
Rich, deep blacks for high-contrast sketches.

Super soft pencils perfect for smooth shading and depth.
Conte Γ Paris Artists Pencil 3B Black (Pack of 2)
High-quality black pencils with a unique smoothness.
Brustro Coloured Pencils (Set of 72)
Vibrant, blendable colours ideal for adding life and detail to your drawings.
4. Sharpeners

Handy and lightweight sharpeners.
Staedtler Double Hole Metal Sharpener
Durable and efficient for both thick and thin pencils.
5. Erasers

Perfect for lightening graphite and making soft corrections.
Cretacolor Kneadable Eraser (Pack of 4)
A pliable eraser that works well with charcoal and graphite.
Apsara Non-Dust Eraser (Pack of 100)
Clean and simple for regular erasing with less residue.
Useful for drawing accurate proportions, guidelines, and perspective lines.
Arfina Fixative Spray (Pack of 1, 200ml)
Helps protect pencil and charcoal artwork from smudging. I use it on finished drawings to keep them safe and clean.
Other Useful Tools
8. Pencil Extender (Metal Head) – Pack of 5
Extends the life of short pencils, keeping your grip comfortable.
A compact and sturdy easel that keeps your paper steady while drawing. When working on a flat table surface for long hours, it can cause neck or back pain. To avoid this discomfort while sketching, I use a tabletop easel that provides a better drawing angle and posture support.
It's a good option for beginners. However, the wooden surface quality of the easel is a bit low, using a thicker wood would make it more durable and stable.
10. Masking Tape
Used to fix the edges of the paper to a board or table, keeping it steady and preventing any movement while drawing for a clean finish.
π₯ Recording Setup
Helps record your process from above without interference.
Great lighting for clear sketching videos or content creation.
I use this for capturing crisp videos and photos of my art.
These are the art materials I use regularly for sketching and drawing. The right tools can make a big difference in your artwork and comfort. I hope this list helps you find what works best for you. Keep creating and enjoy the process! π¨
